University of Heidelberg - Ruprecht-Karls-Universität - Exchange


HE HouseHE TerraceOne of Illinois College's direct exchange programs, this is Germany's oldest university and one of the most prestigious in Europe.  IC students are typically enrolled at the university's "Internationales Studienzentrum," taking courses in German language and culture. The center also
provides relevant information about studying at Heidelberg, familiarizes students with German history and culture, informs them about the political and economic structures of Germany, and provides contacts with German and foreign students through cultural activities.  Students studying in Heidelberg for a year may also enroll in the prize-winning theater troupe of students learning German as a second language, IdeFix
